What is LoopConf?
First launched in 2015, LoopConf is a one-day conference designed for developers and engineers who are pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with WordPress.
This year’s conference took place at the historic Bishopsgate Institute in the heart of London on September 25.

WP Engine was a key sponsor for this year’s event, and our team was excited to connect with the developer community. Throughout the day, our team was on hand at our booth to talk with developers about their current projects and share insights about how our tools and platform are helping developers, agencies, and businesses worldwide thrive on WordPress.
We were thrilled to have one of our very own software engineers, Ross Wintle, present during the event. With a career spanning more than 25 years encompassing freelance, agency, and corporate work for aerospace, telecoms, charities, and more, Ross has learned a lot about both technology and people.
His session delivered 25 lessons in 25 minutes, including inspiring insights and practical takeaways from his experiences throughout the years.
Schedule of events
LoopConf opened its doors at 9:00 a.m. BST, with opening remarks followed by eight unique sessions led by open-source leaders, agency experts, and web developers. After a full day of learning, conversation, and collaboration, the conference hosted closing remarks at 5:30 p.m.—but the discussions didn’t end there.
LoopConf invited attendees, including our team, to reconvene at The Oyster Shed at 7:30 p.m. that evening for some valuable networking time with peers, speakers, and sponsors.
