How to Watch Miami Heat Games Live in 2024

Following a disappointing end to the 2023-24 season, Erik Spoelstra’s team is hoping to get off to a quick start and establish itself as one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference. While the sun has officially set on Bally Sports Sun, the former TV home of the Miami Heat in southern Florida, it has risen as FanDuel Sports Network.

From a viewer’s perspective, not much has changed. You can still watch Miami Heat live streams with Bam Adebayo, Jimmy Butler, and the rest of the squad on streaming platforms and cable. We’ve laid out all the streaming options both in Miami and out-of-market, below.

Quick Guide – how to watch the Miami Heat live streams with ExpressVPN

ExpressVPN is here to help you watch as many games as possible, even if the WI-Fi at your work or school blocks streaming apps.

  1. Get ExpressVPN.
  2. Connect to a server location that matches the broadcaster you want to watch. For example, if you want to watch the Heat on NBA League Pass, connect to one of our servers in 18 U.S. cities, and stream any game that’s not blacked out locally or nationally.
  3. Go Heat!

Where to watch Miami Heat live streams in the U.S.

FanDuel Sports Network

You can watch the hometown Heat on FanDuel Sports Network with a subscription to Xfinity (with the Ultimate TV package) AT&T Uverse, and DirecTV. If you don’t have cable, you can subscribe to FanDuel+, which gives you access to every Miami Heat live stream, although local blackout restrictions apply. Eric Reid will still handle the play-by-play calls, for his 37th season alongside John Crotty, so the only change you’ll notice as a fan is the name of the network.

DirecTV Stream and Fubo

DirecTV Stream and Fubo both have packages that include FanDuel Sports Network, as long as you’re in the Miami Heat TV broadcast region. Both streaming platforms also come with ESPN and NBA TV, so you can live stream almost every Heat game, even the ones blacked out on FanDuel Sports Network.

If you’re trying to watch the game at work or school, and the Wi-Fi network blocks streaming apps, ExpressVPN can help. Connect to our VPN server in Miami—it encrypts your connection so you can bypass blocks and stream the Heat live from anywhere.

NBA League Pass

You can stream every out-of-market Heat game with the NBA League Pass. It gives you a choice between the home team call from Reid and Crotty or the opponent’s broadcast. If you’re visiting the greater Miami area, you can watch the game live when you connect to an ExpressVPN server close to your home state.

ESPN

You can watch five Miami Heat live games on ESPN during the 2024-25 season, including a matchup against LeBron James in January and the defending NBA champions Boston Celtics in April. If you don’t have cable, you can access ESPN with the base packages for Fubo, DirecTV Stream, YouTube TV, and Hulu + Live TV.

TNT

The Heat face off against Giannis and the Bucks twice on TNT. The second matchup will be during the in-season tournament, as part of East Group B. You can watch TNT on DirecTV Stream, YouTube TV, and Hulu + Live TV. (It’s not currently available on Fubo.)

If activity-based ISP throttling causes buffering and ruins the game, install ExpressVPN and connect to one of our U.S. server locations to stream smoothly without interference.

NBA TV

The Heat will make 6 appearances on NBA TV this season. Unlike the games on TNT and ESPN, these games are not blacked out in Miami and will be broadcast on FanDuel Sports Network. NBA TV is included with the YouTube TV Base Plan, Sling TV with the Sports Extras add-on, and Fubo with the Pro plan or higher.

NBA League Pass

The NBA is broadcast in over 200 countries, but you don’t always get to choose which games are shown. For Miami Heat fans, the only way to guarantee you can watch the Heat is with NBA League Pass. It gives you access to all games—live and on-demand—and lets you choose between the Heat’s broadcast or the opposing team’s coverage.
