Sponsoring WordCamp Asia 2025

To start the year off right, GreenGeeks is sponsoring and attending WordCamp Asia in 2025! Not only will this WordCamp prove to be an amazing experience, but the GreenGeeks team will be there to interact with the patrons. So, be sure to stop by our booth and say, “Hello.”

From February 20th through the 22nd, you’ll be amid some WordPress goodness in a great tropical location. This year, the three-day event is held at the Philippine International Convention Center in Manila. It is located near Manila Bay and surrounded by some great sites that I’ll go over in a moment.

The venue itself is quite spacious and exhibits a great deal of elegance.

What to Expect from WordCamp Asia

Aside from WordCamp being located in a tropical wonderland, this year, there are a lot of talks that are worth the admission.

  • Decoding Vulnerabilities
Probably one of the most useful forms of AI, Rashmi Nagpal dives into how LLMs (large language models) are capable of identifying previously undetected threats to WordPress websites. It all centers around using AI-driven models to safeguard your data.
  • WordPress Speed Build Challenge
Curious about the power of WordPress? In this challenge, Jessica Lyschik and Nick Diego will have 30 minutes to recreate a famous website using only the power of Gutenberg blocks. The idea is to demonstrate what can be done without extensive coding and is hosted by Jamie Marsland.
  • WordPress Gems for Devs
In this talk, Milana Cap goes into HTML and Interactivity APIs to demonstrate how they are game-changers for WordPress development. Using WP-CLI, you’ll see how effective these elements are when building some amazing sites.
  • AI is your Expert Website Performance Assistant
Artificial Intelligence has the potential to be a great asset, and Adam Silverstein will demonstrate the different ways you can use LLMs to check everything from vulnerabilities to improving site performance with AI-driven suggestions. It’s best if you bring your laptop along for this one.
  • Pocket to Post
Mobile technology is convenient and prevalent. Why not use it to manage and automate your site? In this talk, Celia Rozalén Martín goes over the functionality and use of the WordPress mobile app. I have to admit, I completely forgot about the mobile app, and I am curious to see this myself.

These are just some of the talks that stood out to me at WordCamp Philippines in 2025. If I was able to travel, I’d surely attend this one in person. But alas, I have responsibilities here.

Nonetheless, I will be checking out any recordings they make at WordPress.tv.

Things to Check Out in the Philippines

The Philippines has a long history and rich culture. And you’ll be surrounded by some of the most amazing sites that you don’t want to miss while you’re attending WordCamp.

For example, you can:

  • Visit the Coconut Palace. This government building was built using coconut lumber and shells and is a testament to what can be built with human ingenuity. Not only that, but a building couldn’t get more tropical than that.
  • Walking distance from the WordCamp Asia venue, you can visit the Hobbies of Asia mall. Here, you can find an assortment of imported goods from all over the area as well as a variety of restaurants to try.
  • Want to relax in a fine casino? The Networld Hotel Spa and Casino has some beautiful accommodations for just $27 per night! I almost forgot how much cheaper everything is in Manila compared to the United States.

These were just a few of the places that were near the venue. There are a lot of things to see and experience near Manila if you have the time. The landscape alone is worth exploring.

Kick Off the Year with Us at WordCamp Asia!

Don’t forget to stop by and visit us at WordCamp. Our team is eager to meet new folks and would love to hang out with you and talk about our favorite topic: WordPress.

I’d like to thank the organizers, sponsors, volunteers, and attendees. Without you all, these WordCamps wouldn’t be as awesome. You all do amazing work to promote an equally amazing community.

Have a fun and safe weekend in Manila!
